"I told him to open a package for me like it was nothing, just a normal day, but he had no idea what was actually inside. For context, we’ve been DoorDashing together lately as a way for me to make some extra money, and he’s been tagging along. The other day when I asked if he wanted to go again, he asked if I could help him pay to fix the battery in his phone… but instead, I decided to surprise him with a new one. Watching him go from confused to slowly realizing it was his is something I’ll never forget. He kept looking at me like it wasn’t real, and that moment meant more than I expected.
