Occurred on July 8, 2026 / Giao Chản Village, Lai Chau province, Vietnam

Flooding caused a house in Giao Chản Village, Khổng Lào Commune, Lai Châu Province to collapse at around 8:00 a.m. today (July 8). According to local residents, the house had originally been located quite far from the stream. However, the severe floodwaters triggered erosion from the adjacent rice fields, undermining the foundation and causing the house to collapse. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
