"This was filmed along the Trans-Canada corridor between Banff and Lake Louise, within Banff National Park. We spent roughly half an hour on June 2nd observing them from a safe distance (park rangers were there too). The mama bear was alone at first, her cub joining her shortly before a train came through. Once the train passed, the two returned to the tracks, and that's when the rangers asked everyone to disperse."
