"I went way past the recommended dive depth of 40m I wanted to see the effect of cracking open an egg at bellow 50m. As a CMAS Level 3 diver, I’m trained and qualified to dive on air to 60m — but that doesn’t mean experiments like this aren’t intense. At 54m, the pressure is over 6 times greater than at the surface. Every movement feels different. Every breath is denser. And cracking something as fragile as an egg becomes a fascinating test of physics underwater. Would it implode? Explode? Hold its shape? There’s only one way to find out. This dive was carefully planned and executed within my training limits. Deep diving carries serious risks and should only be done with proper certification, experience, and preparation.
