"Fast-moving, muddy brown water has overflowed the riverbanks, submerging parts of the land. According to the author, a blockage somewhere has broken, causing the water level to drop slightly but remain high. Despite the flooding, the chickens managed to reach a small patch of dry land, though a bridge was lost in the flood."
