"A woodpecker in the Santa Cruz mountains in CA has taken to landing on peoples’ shoulders and hanging out for hours on end. He pecks my collarbone like a tree but mostly just chills. Sometimes landing on people who don’t want to be landed on! His “mom” is Julia Butterfly Hill, who lives up on the property at a place called Mother Nature’s Temple." Credit: Nadia Dean
