"Before Tropical Cyclone Alfred hit the coast of Queensland, the state’s capital city of Brisbane prepared for a weather event not experienced in over 50 years. The city’s local council representatives moved all the scooters from the CBD to a safe location to protect them, and the city, during the cyclone. For some locals, the scooters just seemed to ‘appear’ there, with some social media users speculating that they made their own way there in an act of self-preservation. The scooters were there for five days before crews from each company came to get them."
