"This is a flashily colored Peacock Mantis Shrimp. When it senses danger, it dives into its burrow. The movement of its left and right independent eyes is also very characteristic and mysterious. It is said to be able to distinguish even circularly polarized light, which most animals' eyes cannot perceive. The powerful blows of its arms are used to crack open shells and prey on shellfish."
