Farkle was initially surrendered by his owners who thought he was having seizures, and was eventually fostered and adopted by the president and founder of Touch of Grey Rescue, a senior and special-needs dog rescue based in Central Florida. Farkle is a viral sensation, earning over 2 million views on one of his videos on TikTok in less than 48 hours, and is also the rising star of the new children's book series, Farkle and Friends, based on real life rescue dogs. The first book in the Farkle and Friends series, Farkle Finds his Furever Home, is based on the true story of his rescue. The second book 'Twas the Night Before Dogmas, is a modern rescue dog-lovers twist on a Christmas classic.
