Occurred on May 14, 2026 / Gustaf III Airport, Saint Barthélemy

"I was watching a plane coming in to land at the St Barths airport when I noticed that it was not following usual path due to the high winds that day. In fact, it appeared to be drifting towards where my husband and I were standing. I panicked and said “I don’t like this,” while moving right and ducking. My camera angle dropped and now I was recording my husband's feet in sandals and the pavement. I got the courage to stand back up and continue to record the plane as it approached the landing strip and, to my surprise, the plane was sideways. I then let out an “oh my god”. The pilot then straightened the plane and landed safely." Credit: Jenna Gedney
