Scary sounds in the wilderness of Canada.
Occurred on January 22, 2024 / Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada
"I was on a hike along a creek when I got a bad feeling and I heard a pileated woodpecker do its alarm call. Normally they do this call when a predator is in the area, like coyotes, lynx, or bear. Then I heard some unexplainable, terrifying sounds that I couldn't identify even with my years of experience hiking and camping. I pulled out my phone and got some of It on film and then got out of there as quickly as I could. As I left, I heard the sound in the distance until I was far enough to be out of earshot."
